CAREER ACTION PLANNING
Students from Year 9 to 12 complete an annual Career Action Plan. The CAP focuses on where the students are currently and their future goals. This document provides valuable information on each student and is regularly referred to during important Career Conversations that take place during subject selection, when students are seeking career advice or an alternative educational program.
During Year 12, all students attend a one to one career conversation session with the Careers Coordinator to discuss in detail their future goals/pathways. Additional support is provided to all year 12 on how they can transition from school. Year 12 students are also contacted once they have left the College to ensure that they have transitioned well and to ascertain if they require any ongoing advice.
The College has a dedicated Careers Website which provides valuable career planning information including a calendar on many career related events held by tertiary institutions, apprenticeship providers, Australian Defence Force, Police Force. Visit www.whsccareers.com
